Student Engineer
Student Engineers are assigned to assist a Site Engineer or Senior Engineer with day-to-day engineering and quality activities on site. Initially, they assist with surveying and setting-out tasks, gradually developing the knowledge and confidence to carry out setting-out independently under appropriate supervision.
Duties
Assisting with surveying and setting-out activities.
Completing as-built surveys and maintaining accurate records.
Making concrete cubes, carrying out slump tests, and updating the cube register.
Updating concrete pour charts.
Completing pre- and post-pour checks.
Carrying out quality checks on internal and external works.
Inspecting and recording firestopping works.
Updating the drawing register and reviewing new/revised drawings for changes.
Completing the daily site diary.
Recording labour, plant, and other resources on site.
Reporting any discrepancies, defects, or issues to the Site Engineer or Senior Engineer.
